This DVB-C tuner is for use with the Azbox Premium HD+ model only, and stands for Digital Video Broadcasting Cable. The DVB-C standard allows to broadcast several channels in digital quality instead of only one channel in the old analog standard. Most of the DVB-C channels are encrypted and will require you to register with your cable operator and get a smartcard to be able to watch such channels. With the Azbox Premium HD+ you can combine all types of tuners (DVB-C, DVB-T, DVB-S2) any way you want.
